Stick with the plan.

Hey all, so this is going to be my last post that is not related to food or traveling. I've decided that I need to stick to my original idea of having it for that purpose. My original idea was to have a foodie blog, and I think it will be much nicer in the long run if I keep it that way. :) I'm going to make a separate blog for personal things and will put a link in the sidebar.

So, here's to food and new beginnings!

Tortelini Thursday

     Happy Thursday, everyone!  Today is my dad's birthday, but we went out to eat last night to celebrate instead of tonight, that way my niece could be there.  I stayed overnight at my parents last night, and my dad, mom, brother, niece, and I had a fun time playing Clue. 

     For lunch today, I made some Spinach Cheese Tortelini with primavara sauce that I added mushrooms to and topped it all off with shredded mozzarella cheese.  It was pretty yummy.  Master Chef Grandma actually approved of it. Lol.

     Oh, I also found out my cousin doesn't want me to do her cake afterall.  She's worried about me being "overwhelmed" with it.  Suuuure...  Guess that confidence in me wasn't there afterall.  That's fine.  It frees up time for me to work on other things that I want to do.  I'm not going to let my feelings get hurt.  I'm just done hearing about her cake.  I've gotten nothing but flack since I agreed to do it.  At least now I don't have to listen to everyone bitch about it.

     I don't know what else I'm going to do today.  Grandma has the tv on Fox News Channel all day long. Lol.  It kinda drives me nuts.  I mean, I like watching news stories, but not all day.  Mom took my puppy, Winston, over to her house for a play date with their dog, Cocoa.  I guess I should go pick up my dog at some point, that is if I can motivate myself to get up and quit being lazy today.

First post from Ohio.

MMkay so I decided to stop being such a crabby butt and actually post something here. lol. Let's see, a lot has happened in the past couple weeks. I moved to Ohio. I got a new job that I will be starting on March 7th. And I just had surgery last Thursday. The doctor cleaned me up inside, and now I'm just waiting to hear back from the biopsies she took. I have faith that everything will be non-cancerous. I'm in a lot of pain right now, but I know my incisions will start feeling better in a couple days. Right now it's just rough because they cut through the ab muscles for two of the incisions that were made. Even though I felt like poo today, I did at least manage to bake a cake. Grandma made some homemade vegetable soup... and Uncle Ken and Tina dropped off some Stuffed Pork Chops... (I do not know what they are stuffed with, but gosh were they good.)











I'm not really sure what I want to do with this blog. At first, I wanted to just make it about food, which I might still do, but I feel like writing about life too. I shut my other blog down because it's just hard to write two different blogs. I'm wondering if I should just turn this into a collective blog about everything? We shall see...

Well, I know this isn't the most elegant blog post, but it's all I have for now! :)
